SEAL OF RECOMMENDATION
THE SKIN CANCER FOUNDATION

On April 7, 2010, Solise Body Wash SPF15 and Solise Hand Wash SPF15 were approved for The Skin Cancer Foundation’s most prestigious Seal of Recommendation.

The Skin Cancer Foundation established its Seal of Recommendation program as part of a nationwide public awareness campaign. The Seal of Recommendation verifies the SPF claim of a product. Every product submitted for the Seal of Recommendation is rigorously reviewed by a committee of renowned photobiologists – experts in the study of the interaction of ultraviolet radiation and the skin. The entire committee must be completely satisfied with the testing results in order for a product to be granted the Seal.

About the Seal of Recommendation
The rise in non-melanoma skin cancers, about 90% of which are caused by sun exposure, has led to the creation of a vast number of sun protection products, often making it difficult to choose a product that is both safe and effective. To make identifying quality sun protection products easier, The Skin Cancer Foundation established its Seal of Recommendation program in 1979. It has since become the respected standard for ensuring the safety and efficacy of ultraviolet (UV) protection products.

“The Seal of Recommendation program is unique because it enables us to guide and educate consumers in their everyday lives, “said Dr. Robins, President, The Skin Cancer Foundation. “We are reaching them when they are making important decisions about how to protect themselves from the sun.”

To earn the Seal, a manufacturer must provide scientific data showing that its product sufficiently and safely aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin. Every product awarded the Seal is monitored annually to ensure that it continues to meet the criteria.

“We are pleased that the Skin Cancer Foundation recognizes the benefits and performance of our unique product. With Solise, we aim to protect those people who otherwise do not take the time to apply sunscreen daily, as well as give added protection to the people that do.”
